James, a new commentary by Craig L. Blomberg and Mariam J. Kamell, is one of our most exciting fall releases to be debuted at the ETS and SBL meetings. We feel it—and the entire Zondervan Exegetical Commentary on the NT—will offer features rarely, if ever, gathered in one volume.

You can read more about the series on our website. A number of bloggers have recently been posting reviews in advance of its publication. A true “commentary maven,” Kevin Stern manages the Book Center at Dallas Theological Seminary. You can read his Monday review of James and the ZECNT series on the DTS Book Blog.

Over the next 5 weeks, we’ve asked both Craig and Mariam to guide us through each chapter of James. They may pick a specific pericope—or go through the entire chapter. Whatever the case, I think it’s going to be an informative discussion of James and an interesting look at this new commentary series.
