How Do We Escape Our Ethical Mess? Recognize Objective Moral Truth
(Can't see the video? Watch it here)
Three years ago Chuck Colson produced a video series examining how ethical and character issues relate to life at home, school, and work. He intended to write a companion book on ethical living, but went home to be with the Lord.
Thankfully Scott Rae, ethics professor at Biola, realized Colson’s vision by writing Doing the Right Things. In it Rae “defends the idea that there is such a thing as objective morality.”
Rae explains the way out of our ethical mess is to recognize objective moral laws exist; we can know those laws and adhere to them; and, while it’s possible to live virtuously apart from a relationship to God, what the Christian faith adds to ethics is significant for every area of life.
This is the book you can give your non-Christian friends to point them toward the ultimate source of morality, the gospel—which was Colson’s ultimate vision.
